Overview

Revudu ("we," "us," or "our") operates revudu.com and provides a customer feedback and review platform for local businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information from both business owners who use our platform ("Businesses") and their customers who receive feedback requests ("Customers").

By using Revudu, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

From Businesses (account holders)

  • Name, email address, and password when you create an account
  • Business name, industry, and Google review URL during onboarding
  • Billing information processed securely through Stripe
  • Customer contact lists (names, phone numbers, email addresses) you upload or enter
  • Feedback and review data associated with your account

From Customers (feedback recipients)

  • Star ratings and written feedback submitted through a feedback link
  • Phone number or email address provided to the business at the point of contact
  • Device and browser information for analytics purposes

SMS Messaging & Opt-In Consent

This section is important. Please read it carefully.

Revudu enables businesses to send SMS text messages to their customers requesting feedback after a visit or purchase. Messages are sent using toll-free numbers registered with Twilio.

How customers opt in

Customers provide their phone number directly to a Revudu-powered business — at the point of sale, through a loyalty or rewards program sign-up, a QR code scan, or another direct interaction. By voluntarily providing their phone number to the business, customers consent to receive follow-up SMS communications including feedback requests via Revudu.

Businesses are responsible for obtaining proper consent from their customers before uploading contact information to Revudu and sending messages.

Opting out

Every SMS sent through Revudu includes opt-out instructions. Customers can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from further messages from that business. After opting out, no further messages will be sent to that number. Customers may reply HELP to receive support contact information.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies by business. Most customers receive no more than one SMS per visit or purchase. Standard message and data rates may apply.

How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and improve the Revudu platform
  • To deliver SMS and email feedback requests on behalf of businesses
  • To process payments through Stripe
  • To send transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts)
  • To provide analytics and reporting to business owners about their feedback
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use customer contact data for our own marketing purposes.

Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate our platform:

  • Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, and hosting
  • Twilio — SMS message delivery
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Vercel — application hosting

Each provider has their own privacy policy and data handling practices. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

Data Retention

We retain account and contact data for as long as your Revudu account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your business data and associated contacts within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal or billing purposes.

Customer feedback responses are retained to provide analytics to the business. Customers may request deletion of their feedback data by contacting us at support@revudu.com.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), Firebase security rules to restrict data access, and secure authentication. No system is completely secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Children's Privacy

Revudu is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Opt out of SMS communications by replying STOP
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Revudu after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
